One South Dearborn maintains a no smoking policy throughout the building, including all common areas, the lobby, rest rooms, stairwells and elevators. There are two designated smoking areas on the outside of One South Dearborn.

Area 1: In the plaza near Dearborn Street and the South alley. There are smoking urns located in this designated area.

Area 2: In front of the building on Madison Street. There is a smoking urn located in this designated area.
